Delphi: From 'Bridge Guy' to Trial

On February 14, 2017, Abigail Williams and Liberty German were found near the Monon High Bridge Trail in Delphi, Indiana. For years, the most widely circulated evidence was a short clip of audio and a grainy image recorded on Libby's phone.

That fragment did something rare: it kept a difficult case in the public eye long after the early leads went cold. The phrase 'bridge guy' became shorthand for a suspect no one could yet name.

The eventual arrest and the road to trial show how modern cases can hinge on a single piece of recovered digital evidence, and on the years of patient work that follow it.
